What is Street and Urban Fiction?

Defintion:

Street Fiction and Urban Fiction are interchangeable terms that apply to novels with specific characteristics, including gritty, uncompromising language, sex and extreme violence, and plots that take place in urban settings (Orman & Lyiscott, 2013).

 

Other characteristics include plots, characters, and setting focused on everyday life in contemporary urban neighborhoods (Hill, Perez & Irby, 2008).
